Announcing Leila Elizabeth Meeks

Leila (pronounced Lie-La) was born at 0946 EST, February 27th (she shares a birthday with my brother Michael). She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20.75 inches long. Labor and delivery took about 25 hours...a long time.

0430 and all is well

Still no baby but Erica and I both got a couple hour nap and the docs think it will only be a few more hours.

So, there is a media blackout on erica right now so you will all have to deal with pics of me. All is well but we aren't expecting a baby until sometime after midnight.

Just a quick note to say there's no change yet.

Off we go to the hospital.

But, we did get to goto a baby shower for two other pregnant friends. I hung out with the guys in the basement and played video games.

So, the doc decided to schedule our delivery for feb 26 if it doesn't happen naturally before then. They were fine with the 29th, but we didn't know the on call doc so we went with 26th.

Welcome to February. It's hard to believe that Baby Meeks is coming sometime THIS MONTH! A few months ago I would have been shocked to be saying this, but we are actually ready for her arrival. Now if only we could decide & agree on her name...
