Post run dip in the pool

What is one to do at 7:45am after a 10-mile run? Jump in the pool to cool off, of course. Leila decided to join me!

Baby play date

Athena had a play date with her other baby friends last week. Surprisingly, they were all awake and for more than an hour at the same time. I think the moms had more fun than the babies, but that's the point anyway, right?

First Watermelon

‎Athena had her first bite of watermelon tonight. As usual she was quite the fan. We are pretty sure she would prefer grandpa George feeding her watermelon.

Outdoor movie night at the Marine House

The Marines got a new outdoor movie screen and set it up to show How To Train Your Dragon 2. Jason built Leila a cardboard car to watch the movie from.

Beat the Blerch

My friend Joanna and I signed up for a virtual race last weekend. You pay a reduced entry fee, then get their goody bag (shirt, medal, snacks, etc) and run the race where ever in the world you happen to be. It was probably an easy money maker for them, and a fun motivator for us! This race is about beating The Blerch, who you can learn about here. We took some pictures of our run with The Blerch.

Victory! We ran about 10 miles and celebrated later with a very delicious, though very hectic brunch (when there are 8 kids together at a restaurant, it's never going to be peaceful!).

I was cleaning up Leila toys and I found 4 different currencies just lying around (and I'm sure there are more around there somewhere). That's a foreign service piggy bank for you!

No toes at the table

We have a rule in our house that there are no toys at the table. We decided at dinner tonight that the rule now needs to be no toys OR toes at the table. I think it'll be awhile before Athena agrees to follow the one about toes...

Cousins photo shoot

I realized that I never blogged the pictures from the cousins photo shoot way back in July! Better late than never, right? (PS Marshall & Miles, we missed you!!!)
