We found an ice rink super close to our house and tried it out after school on Monday. It was Athena's first time and she did great! Our friends' kids have been taking lessons so Jackson helped teach them how to balance by having them focus on his finger as they skated. All my pictures of Leila are blurry but she was really good by the end too. We have already promised to take them back this weekend.

Driving lessons
Keeping her eyes on the road and hands on the wheel! (Don't worry, we were on a closed road with no other cars or obstacles...)
Snowy Sunday!
It's been snowing since we woke up. 3-4 inches already on the ground and another 2-4 forecasted. We got out for a bit already today and have plans for a snowy forest walk later!

Strong gene pool
The upside down house had a 'station' with two chairs facing each other with mirrors between them. The mirrors were in horizontal strips with spaces between them so when two people sat across from each other, it would show up with their face reflecting in the mirror alternating with the face of the other person showing through the gap. It was funny with two people but uncanny with the 3 generations of Johnson ladies. Can you tell whose faces are in these pictures?

First run of the new year
I pulled out the Santa hats for our first run of the new year. We ran 2.019 miles (ish!) through the beautiful snowy forest to welcome 2019. Photo credit to Jason who joined us!
Ringing in the New Year
We spent a laid back evening with friends eating fondue, playing games, and making it until midnight to watch fireworks go off around the city from the windows. Here's to a great 2019!
New Year 2019
A pile of happy children on December 31, and the morning after, still wearing the clothes from yesterday.
Upside down house
We went to the upside down house over the weekend. It was cold, even inside, but Leila was in her element creating fun scenes!
