Happy Birthday Mommy!

Leila gave her Mom a great birthday present yesterday by sleeping through the night (well, as much as a newborn can, that is)! She only woke up twice to eat, but otherwise didn't cry or fuss in between. Was it a fluke or are we starting to see progress?

Take your daughter to work day

Erica took Leila to meet all of her coworkers today. She fit right in, and apparently had a great time, although upon closer reflection it appears she slept through the entire event.

After a 4am changing i want to give leila the nickname 'Pooh Bear', and not because she has a hairy back like a bear, which she does.

First check up

Leila had her first baby check up this morning. She's healthy as an ox. Her weight is back to 7 lbs 15 oz so no problem there. She was looking a bit yellow so they are doing a bilirubin count to check for jaundice. I think bilirubin is a made up word anyway so i'm discounting the whole thing.

Update from last 24 hours.

OK, so last night involved just a little bit less screaming then the first night back. We're hoping for a few minutes less every night until it gets to a bearable point. But, on the other hand she's so cute during the day that it doesn't matter.

Odd, though that she knows the difference between night and day, considering she sleeps almost the entire day.
