Opening night of Leila's children's theater was last night. She was a bully (pink sweatshirt) and an elf (green dress). It was a cute show and she did a fabulous job!

The Belmas’ are here!
Sorry for our blog silence. The Belmas family has come for a visit and we have been having so much fun having fun that we have been neglecting to update the blog! It's been a week straight of adventures in Cappadocia and Ankara so don't worry - our updates will be coming soon. Off to Istanbul tomorrow for one last hurrah before they fly home.

Bday party #3
It was a busy birthday weekend. Leila went to her friend Molly's party on Sunday morning at the trampoline park. What a blast, and the kids were completely exhausted after 1.5 hours of jumping. Since we were there early, the kids had the place to themselves. Can you find Leila in this picture?
Mila’s birthday party
Athena went to her friend Mila's birthday party on Saturday afternoon. It was a big bash with face painting, personalized snacks & treats, a piñata, dancing, play area & yummy food.

New table
We splurged on a new coffee table this week. It's made from a traditional wooden carved Turkish window inlaid in the table and covered with glass. We are quite pleased with how it turned out!

Decorate a potato contest
Leila's school is having a contest where students decorate a potato like a book character. Weird, I know. Leila make Katniss 'Taterdeen' from the Hunger Games. Pretty good, right?!

Afternoon run
The weather was so sunny and (almost) spring-like so we broke out of the house for some fresh air and a 5-mile run. This BOB stroller, purchased 11 years ago for what seemed like a small fortune, sure has had some adventures and stood the test of time. 2 kids, 4 countries, and countless hundreds (thousands?!) of miles later, it's still going strong.
