We have had a jam packed week of fun in DC seeing tons of friends from so many different times in our lives - from elementary school (Rani!) to recent Ouaga friends (Mary Esther & Jonette) and everything in between.
We didn't quite get photos of everything, but here is a sampling:
We had a mom-daughter date for Zoo Lights with Leila's friend Taryn from her preschool class and Taryn's mom Allison. A little drizzle didn't stop our fun!
It was a good thing this snake was behind glass. He was super interested in the girls every movement.
We hit the Botanical Gardens today with our friend Katie (whose husband Ryan started the Foreign Service with Jason and who served in Taipei with us 13 years ago) and her kids Anna and Ben.
We also stopped in the Air & Space Museum. A storm trooper was hanging out near the line for Star Wars at the iMax theater. Sadly, no movie for us, but we snapped a photo.
Instead, the kids entered a paper airplane contest. Leila didn't win, but she made it through the first round with this great throw.
